Let the holiday frenzy begin. In addition to the fact that my kids really get into Halloween (well, make that ANY holiday!),my daughter's birthday falls in early November, so there's often some kind of all-encompassing house party that ends up being thrown despite my vow of "never again" at the conclusion of it each year. Every year marks the purchase of some new creature or ghoul for the yard, and last year we made tombstones that we hoping survived attic storage. You wouldn't think so if you walked into Michael's craft store, but mid-September is way to early to "come out" with our decorating obsession, we're trying to limit ourselves to indoor decorating only right now. I have a collection of dishes in the shape of fruits and vegetables and some of these are fun to get out and display this time of year. I have some teapots: a bunny covered pumpkin, a teddy bear covered mushroom, and an unusual gourd. And don't forget the acrylic paints - no decorating session is complete without them. Only 42 days of messes to go!
