Sunday morning breakfast.  For me, it conjures images of fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and warm, soft cinnamon rolls.  I love sitting around the table on a weekend morning with my family, all of us in our pyjamas, enjoying a tasty breakfast together.  What are your favorite breakfast meals that you share with your family?Amazing Cinnamon Rolls

Last night, I made these amazing cinnamon rolls.  This recipe is blatantly (and respectfully) plagiarized from The Pioneer Woman.  I read so many rave reviews that I simply had to try them for myself.  I was not disappointed!  These little gems epitomize everything that is good about breakfast breads.  They were so tender that they literally melted on my tongue and the maple glaze was the perfect topping.

Or how about a quick, easy frittata.  Truly, this is the easiest meal ever. It will take you about 15 minutes from start to finish.

So, what's a frittata? It's the Italian version of an omelet, but it is served open-faced. The base is eggs, but you can add whatever you like - meats, chicken, veggies, cheese.Yes, we all love a quick, easy meal on a weeknight.  But really, there are only so many times you can pop open a can of Campbell's Chunky before your family threatens mutiny. Even though you're just whipping up an egg dish, you can tell them that they are eating an Italian specialty. Start quoting the Godfather and you'll have them convinced. However, I suggest that you avoid discussions about horse heads at the dinner table.  Read the rest of the post here:http://cookincanuck.blogspot.com/2009/04/frittata-easiest-meal-ever.html Tell us about your tried and true weekend morning recipes.

Those cinnamon rolls look DIVINE. Weekend breakfast in our home always involves eggs. My husband is in charge of breakfast- he usually makes friend or poached eggs with cajun spices, swiss cheese / fresh parmiggiano shavings. Or we have "Khagina" (My Recipe ( http://www.thespicespoon.com/blog/khagina-aromatic... ) here), a Pakistani-Afghani scrambled egg dish with aromatic spices, tomatoes, onions, coriander. And there is always lots of bakery fresh walnut bread.

One of my favorite breakfast recipes is banana pancakes!  It's a great way to enjoy yummy pancakes with healthy fruit mixed right in.

Oh Goodness, those rolls look amazing!  For breakfast I love BACON, anytype, especially with maple syrup.  My mother would make Eggs Benedict for brunch, and to this day it remains my favorite.  Right now I am living in Turkey which is a Muslim country so there is no bacon.  And no Maple trees.  The other day I made French Toast, which I love, but instead of Maple syrup I made a strawberry syrup with orange juice and rind that was very good.  Just an opportunity to try new things.  Though whenI go back to the States I am going to eat my weight in pork.

A really big breakfast of pancakes and eggs!  I'll have to try a spinach and tomato frittata next time.

I'm glad you enjoyed the post.

My father is a farm boy, so growing up we always had HUGE breakfasts every weekend.  It's something that I carry on for my family.  Every Saturday and Sunday I make a big breakfast for my family.  It's usually French Toast or pancakes and eggs, but I really love cinnamon rolls and I will have a good time trying this recipe!  Thanks!

P.S. I also love frittatas, but I usually make a spinach and tomato variety for dinner or for brunch when we have company.  Everybody loves frittatas!  Great post!
