What do we learn from online friends?
Luckily, the worst of this feeling seems to be passing. I’m pleased, because I didn’t really want to spend the next month wondering what was going on. So, I’m going to invite you to share now. I’d love to read about some of the things you learned from your online friends, or others who’ve gone before. In my opinion, one of the best ways to pay tribute is to remember and share, which is the entire point of this blog, really.
I can sum up the most important thing I learned from Chris in four words: ‘I won’t accept defeat’. It came from her, via George Harrison’s Brainwashed album. That’s the phrase I repeat to myself when I’m in difficulty, and it reminds me that I’m strong enough to get through it. Through the way Chris handled her battle, she managed to teach me to keep going, whatever I faced was nowhere near as severe as what she was battling. If she could keep going through that, I can keep going through anything. (Well, this anniversary I’ve relaxed that attitude, because I know I need to let that out so that I can get past the feeling that Easter brings with it.
What did your online friends teach you? Please feel free to share in the comments.
Wishing you peace and strength on your journeys,
