What To Do When You Don't Know What To Do

We've all been there before.  You're faced with a decision and you're not quite sure which to make.  You most certainly don't want to make the wrong choice.  You pray and wait to hear God's voice...and you hear nothing.  And, no matter how much research you do and advice you get from others, there is no clear cut route to take.  It's in these moments that I feel you must take a risk.  You must do SOMETHING, and have faith that the answers will be revealed along the way.

MAKE A DECISION, confidently move forward, and give it your all.  When I first moved to Atlanta I had two job offers.  Both companies were great and had comparable benefit packages.  I loved both offices and was warmly welcomed by both.  It was a touch decision, one that I prayed over and definitely sought counsel on.  In the end, it was my choice to make.  Although I didn't see a clear, definite choice, I simply made a decision based on what I felt in my gut.  I trusted that if it wasn't the right choice, I could easily change jobs later.

BE WILLING TO MAKE A MISTAKE.  Yes, mistakes have consequences.  But, make mistakes whose consequences you're willing to accept.  I was willing to accept being wrong about choosing the wrong job because I wanted to move to Atlanta.  I knew that if I was wrong, I'd simply have to deal with it and look for an opening somewhere else.  Perhaps you're trying to decide if you want to start your own business.  If you are really passionate about it, you must be willing to fail and be willing to accept the consequences of doing so.

TRUST YOURSELF and know that no matter what happens, you WILL be able to handle it (click here to tweet!).  You have everything that you need, already inside of you.  You can do this.  Look back on all the other times you didn't think you would survive, but you did.  Remember all the times you thought you wouldn't make your way out of a situation, but somehow you did.  If you made it through then, what makes now any different?  Step out on faith and allow God to meet you where you are.  He will never forsake you.  Follow your dreams, strive to grow and experience all that you can.  Never allow fear of the unknown to hold you back.

TAKE ACTION NOW!  Do you have a decision to make that's been troubling you?  Make a choice that will move you forward, even if it's just a tiny step.  Join me in the comment section below and share what action you're going to take this week to propel you closer to your goals.

With Love,
