Any parent who tries to do right by their children no doubt has had to do some level of self-reflection, to look inwards to oneself and one’s spouse or partner to decide what it is that we want to teach our children.
We spend so much energy, maybe even more so than in past generations, trying to give our children every opportunity that we can afford, not with money only but with time and energy invested, so that our children have every advantage for success however it be defined by the values of one’s family. It is easy for me to sit down with my husband, make a mental wishlist of what we think our children should experience as part of their ethical and cultural upbringing...
