What's the Best Way to Find a Mentor?

I recently got a question from a gal, Sharon, that is on point for so many of us, I wanted to share with all of you:

She asked, “Circumstances are changing in my life and I want to make a career move.  What’s the best way to find a mentor who can help me figure things out?”

I’m sure lots of gals are nodding their heads right now thankful that you asked this question!  Life keeps changing for all of us and our career should grow, morph and change with it.

Let’s define what a mentor really is.  A mentor is an experienced and trusted adviser.

Immediately most of us think of a live person sitting across from us or over the phone, but that’s so limiting.  Today there are a ton of experienced and trusted advisers generously offering advice on a ton of topics without you having to meet them at all.

But before you go looking for advice, do this one critical thing first or you’ll waste a lot of time.

Watch this quick video to find out that critical first step.
