What are the ten most basic pieces in YOUR closet? This week, BlogHers shared their lists, and there seem to be three common themes:

1. Everything has to work together. Of course.

2. Machine washable is the BOMB. I agree.

3. Less is more. Absolutely.

What's on their lists? Well ...

Deva won't wear a turtleneck but she WILL layer a sweater. She's also included a great list of accessories.

Debangel has a sticky toddler AND a cashmere sweater -- good woman.

Janssen has included a list of shoes she cannot live without.

Catherine uses her list to confess that she has been won over by the white tee. Good for her.

Florinda annotates the original Oprah list and comes up with one that works for her. Which was the whole point, of course.

Maybaby is a mom of teens and a kindergarten teacher -- her list is perfect for moms with kids of any age and size. Bigpinkdaisy is also a mom and a teacher, although she has a toddler at home; her list is in two parts, with photos and brand names. Excellent.

Stephanie and Bethany both live in the Pacific Northwest; they've got you covered whether you work or stay home.

Suniverse has written a working girl's dream list. I love this list, because her attention to detail appeals to my organized side and because she is able to wear everything with everything else.

Merrymishaps amends Oprah's list and then tells us about her shoes.

Finally, Jan has posted what is probably my favorite list if only because she ends her post this way: "If the house burns down, I'll just point the insurance company to this post."

Want to share YOUR ten basics list? Leave it in the comments, or post it at your site and leave a link. Because you know there is NOTHING better than peeking in another woman's closet.

Susan Wagner writes about fashion at Friday Style and The Working Closet and Fashion Find. Her ten basics list is here.

When you're in not good state and have no money to move out from that, you will have to take the credit loans ( http://lowest-rate-loans.com/topics/credit-loans ). Because it would aid you emphatically. I get bank loan every year and feel great just because of it.

I have way too many clothes, but I know that just looking at my closet, didn't need this list. Next up, how to make time to clean out your closet...

I've been pondering the question of white jeans for *years*. Up until now my reaction has been pretty much like yours: "are you kidding me?" But this winter I took a huge leap of faith and bought a fabulous pair of 7 For All Mankind white jeans. There's something about the cut - fitted around the hips, long flare legs - that elongates the legs and is really flattering. The white shade provides for an instant glamour and any stains can be bleached right out of the garment.

So I am surprised and delighted to say that I am very happy with this purchase.

Except for the white jeans, our closets look pretty much the same.

My "real" closet is pretty basic. I wear jeans to everything. so i have lots of jeans - they run the gamut of cut, color and style. Lots of black shirts that run the gamut from t's to sheer silk.

BUT, the closet i really love is my costume closet. It's just as big, and is filled with crinolines and wigs and corsets and boas and sequins and hats and...... you name it, i got it. It makes me very happy just to open it.......

I mean seriously, I'm not sure you can distill every woman's unique tastes, habits, and lifestyle to a list of ten items every woman should have. White jeans? Are you kidding me?

You are oh, so right that washable is a must and so are coordinates. Of course, I pretty much only wear jeans or khakis, which makes coordinates rather easy ;)

OK, here's the list of a work-at-home Mom whose style is somewhere between tom boy and "Colorado casual/outdoorsy":

1. Jeans. Lots of them. Dark & long and boot cut or slightly flared.
2. V-neck long-sleeved/short-sleeved t-shirts (My bust does not look flattering in Oprah's turtlenecks, so I go for the v-neck instead). These layer or stand alone, wash well, and the white ones (ready for an eco-conscious mama's confession?) bleach well if needed.
3. Tank tops. Like #2, these layer great and are wonderful for our 100-degree summer days.
4. The ubiquitous hoodie. Everyone needs a hooded sweatshirt, right? Even my children have them.
5. Full-length wool coat. Although I wear this less now that I have kids, a dressy long coat battles the cold and looks great with dressy clothes.
6. Kate Spade bag. OK, technically not clothing, but a major fashion accessory all the same. And mine is on the big side for a KS, so it can hold a snack or a diaper in a pinch, and definitely has room for lip gloss, my phone, my glasses, wallet, etc. My one hold-over from a more fashionable child-free "youth."
7. Any Dansko shoes. Yes, my best friend teases me for my comfortable shoes. But with plantar fasciitis and two young children, comfortable shoes are a must. So why not buy cute comfortable shoes?
8. A wrap. As in a large scarf. I have a couple of really cool ones from my husband's business travels (including a brand-new one from Brazil, hand woven, soft & lovely). These are so much nicer than a jacket on a cool spring/fall evening and really make a statement with a dressy outfit. Funky but cool.
9. Mary Janes. I have really sporty Eccos, but any type will do. If you wear jeans every day, these shoes are a must have.
10. Capris. Because once you've had children, you may not want to show your thighs to the world, but it's often too hot for long pants.

OK, I don't blog much about fashion, but this is a fun idea. I'm looking forward to seeing what other women have in their closets. Maybe we should do a parallel list of what we wish we had in our closets (like I wish I had some stiletto heals, the ability to walk in them, and a place to wear them!). Maybe when the kids are less likely to run past, knock me down the stairs, or otherwise make them impractical...
