I always encourage people to use personal lubricant.  It tends to make all matters in the bedroom better.  Whether you are alone, with a friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or the like you should always have plenty of lube on hand.  It encourages the body to produce natural lubrication and ensures comfortable and pleasurable masturbation, foreplay and intercourse.

Before you purchase that bottle of lube from the drug store, go ahead and read the ingredients listed on the label - even if you are in a hurry.

There are a few of ingredients you should avoid:

Glycerin - Are you prone to yeast infections?  If the answer is yes, using a lubricant containing glycerin will more than likely give you an infection.  If you are not prone to yeast infections than your body can proably handle it.  Glycerin is found in a plethora of products; the problem occurs when it is used internally.

Parabens - Many lubes and most shampoos, lotions and other bath and body products contain parabens.  In the ingredient list, the word paraben is usually part of the chemical name, ie benzylparaben. For those of us with sensitive skin, parabens can cause skin irritations, contact dermatitis and Rosacea.  Sexy!

Some studies have found that there is a link between parabens and breast cancer.  Major studies hae not proven this, but the research has certainly raised a few eyebrows.  Since the facts are not concrete on the issue of parabens and cancer, I encourage you to research this matter on your own!

Sugar - It might sound like a good idea to add some sweet strawberry flavored lube to your play time.  Well, it is a good idea as long as it never makes it's way to your nether regions.  Sugar = yeast infection!  With this said, if you decide to get kinky with the chocolate syrup or whipped cream, keep it away from your pink parts!

Use lube.  Please read the ingredients first!
