It is the second week of school for my little girl,we have been together for 5 years, no pre-school,no babysitter, this is driving me crazy. She cries that she does not want to go to school then I cry when the bus leaves. The first day of school for her she had P E (physical education) yes in kindergarten!!! the teacher made those little ones run 2 laps around the track,I believe it is about a half mile!
well ever since that she does not want to go,she says she does not like school... she also cries and tells me "mommy, I am going to miss you, please do not make me go,can i just stay home with you" What should I do or what can I do to make it better for her???I have tried telling her that school is really fun ,you will make lots of friends. nothing is working! it is so heart breaking for me!She is really lost at school, she will not do anything unless the teacher tells her it is ok,she has a little runny nose so I had gotten her some tissues for her bookbag"Oh mommy, I cant take those to school,I dont think you are allowed to blow your nose there!" Yes things like this and no matter what I tell her She is scared to death shes going to do the wrong thing or get into trouble. I have also 2 boys 1 is 17 and 1 is 12,they were not like this so I am really struggling trying to deal with this problem.I just want to be there for her (at school) and tell her everything she can and cant do,I know this is not possible but I feel sooooo helpless! This is the most painful and heartbreaking thing I have been through. If anyone has any advise or just some uplifting words please share them with me. Thank you so much. OH,by the way the PE that I was talking about isnt the same as the recess time that they have with the classroom teacher,It is real physical education!

A couple of things....
Is it possible that she isn't ready for kindergarten? Not all 5 year olds are ready.
Have you talked to her teacher about how she's feeling about school? It may help the teacher to know that she's unsure of what the rules are and is having trouble making the adjustment. That way the teacher will be able to assist her with getting comfortable in her new environment.
