WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE?
by BERNTHIS.COM

Have you ever been on a date and when you realized the guy
'just wasn't that into you" then proceeded to tell him everything
that's wrong with you?
I went
out with this guy the other day. It was one of those general interview
type dates. You know the ones where you're only there to find out

1. If you want to sleep with him and
2. If you would actually want to TALK to him afterward.

We
were sitting in the coffee bar for over an hour and I really thought
things were going well, to the point where, for the first time in a
while, I was actually looking forward to our second date.
Then
he made this comment which made me realize I was waaaay more into him
than he was into me and because I was so bummed, I started thinking:
JESSICA'S THOUGHT: Ahhh, what the hell, this ship's sinking anyway, why not just let him know what he's REALLY giving up.
You know, just tell him:
JESSICA:
By the way, I'm living off my parents and every three months or so, I
just totally freak out for no apparent reason and it takes like a week
to get over it and I'M on an ANTI-DEPRESSANT.  Oh and I used to have
excema as a child and it seems to be making a comeback, if you know
what I mean and just so you know, I own TEN pairs of sweatpants.

You sure you want to give me up?
Of course, in the end, after developing a sudden case of dignity, all I told him was:

JESSICA:  Nice meeting you.

Reverse psychology

Maybe you could let the thought bubble out next time. Maybe he really is your other half, with ten sweatshirts of his own and a place at his parents. But would that appeal to you?

I keep going on date two, just to be sure that the boredom that was creeping into me was not just in my imagination.
