Where the Real Power Is!

"The moment we recognize our complete weakness and our dependence upon Him (God) will be the very moment that the Spirit of God will exhibit His power." -- No author assigned in CUT
Do you ever feel like life just keeps coming at you? From the moment you get up in the morning, to the time you lay your head on the pillow at night, nothing seems to be in your control. The traffic is to slow, the boss is unreasonable, the children are sick, your spouse is in a bad mood, even the dog seems indifferent to the difficulties slamming into your world. Life has a way of kicking us when we are down, and unless we have something to hold onto, we will sink emotionally and mentally.
As I read these words of wisdom from Oswald Chambers this morning, I was once again reminded that I am indeed powerless to control even the smallest events in my life. Oh I can do a pretty good job of being organized so that the challenges may not be as large as some of my friends', but when the big things happen, my true strength does not lie within me, but with Him.
Although, as a life coach, I have many strategies and techniques that I teach people to stay ahead of life, I never want anyone to mistake these strategies for the source of real strength. On the days when life makes no sense, and I am not interested in leaving the house, I do so because I am given one more day's-measure of strength with which to cope and move forward.
If you find yourself wondering how you will get through today, look at the words of Oswald Chambers and recognize your own weakness and let God show you His strength.
Your life counts...to God!
