Where's my blog?

Hi all,

I'm new to the site (under an hour), so please forgive me my newbie ignorance.

I just added my blog to the BlogHer Blogroll. Went through all the steps, previewed my entry, hit submit ... And now ... Nada! I can't find my entry under either My Account or within the Blog Directory. It's vanished, completely. Ack!!

What to do? Tried searching on my blog title - Notes from a broad - with no success.

A little help. Please. Thank you!

It takes time

We review all blogs that are submitted for our blog lists and it can take up to two weeks before your blog has been reviewed (or denied.) If you're denied listing, someone will email you to let you know why.

Here are the guidelines that explain the blog listing process.

I was wondering about this too -- thanks for the info.

Just curious, does someone also email us if the site IS accepted? (I'm happy to keep checking if not, but because the pages here are rather loaded with ads and java content, they tend to crash my computer...)

No email

No, you won't receive an email if your blog is accepted to the blog list. We should all work under the assumption that it will be. If you meet the guidelines listed here, then you will be added. Otherwise, you'll get a note from Joy (or from me.)

Can you send me an email (denise@blogher.com) and talk to me about how BlogHer freezes or crashes your browser, please? I'd like to get to the root of this problem!

Thanks!  I was about to post the same question... I had listed my blog yesterday Honeybee and it still hasn't come up.  I guess the up to two weeks part, answers my question!  Thanks!!

I am a newbie as well and was wondering am I able to ping my blog to this one? For example, I have a blog on blogger/blogspot and wanted to link it to this site. Is that possible?

Cross posting

We don't currently allow automatic cross posting between sites but if you click "My Account" --> "Public Profile" you can add the RSS url of your personal blog(s) (or any other online presence) and feed the most recent titles (with links) into your profile.

Click my name and you'll see my most recent blog posts from BlogHer (that's automatically fed into the profile), my personal blog, my flickr account and my youtube account.
