The White House Project Workshop at BlogHer '10

BlogHer partnered with The White House Project, both non-partisan organizations, to co-produce a new, half-day workshop on Thursday August 5th, 2011. This workshop was designed to help women bloggers with a politics and public policy bent take their political leadership one step further and become aspiring public servants.

This workshop featured panel conversations with women who have successfully attained various levels of government office. Speaker and attendees shared personal experiences and concrete advice about how to advance political ambitions. A skills training session provided the kind of practical, tactical information needed to craft a strategy and plan to run for elective office.

Our valiant BlogHer Food '12 Conference Advisory Committee (named in this post) spent their end-of-the-year holidays poring over your ideas, and delivered up their recommendations. We can't thank them enough for their contribution. This past few weeks, we here at BlogHer took your submissions and their recommendations and did our best to sift and sort, making sure we put together a program that was nutritious yet indulgent, reliably gratifying with an undertone of the unexpected and notes of inspiration.  Read more >
