Why Being a Guest Blogger is Good for You!

Being a guest blogger at someone else's blog is an opportunity to build your own blog's audience.   New readers that want to know more about you, will follow the link in your resource box (the last paragraph of your guest post) to your blog, where they'll have the opportunity to read more of your writing, comment on your posts, and join your RSS feed or newsletter list.

In addition to increased traffic directly from guest blog posts,  Google and other search engines will also follow your link, and count it as part of the quality score used to determine the importance of your own blog.  This quality score is what determines your blog's search engine rankings.

Naturally the best places to guest post are BUSY blogs in your own NICHE.

If you blog in the parenting niche, I invite you to submit a guest post at Surfnetparents.com.

In addition to welcoming blog posts from all kinds of parenting/family/education bloggers,  I am looking to build a small cadre of regular bloggers that will form the basis of a select blogging community. If this sounds interesting, you can join the information mailing list, which you'll find just BELOW the post submission form at:

I look forward to talking here about all the ins-and-outs of guest blogging!
