Why a Female Motorcycle Instructor is like a Female Gynecologist

went for my last motorcycle lesson before we take off for Alaska on Sunday at On the Road Again Motorcycle School. This time, thankfully, I had not one but two female instructors! Finally, finally, they explained to me what counter-steering is in a way I understood. Of course, they would be able to explain it to me – female minds think alike. I said, “I like going to a female motorcycle instructor the same way I like going to a female gynecologist. They understand your equipment!”
Manna and Cat (the former woman owns the motorcycle riding school, the latter was a former nun!) were like my cheerleaders. They reminded me that I could do this.I am marking my transition from a mom with four kids plus two step kids to an empty nester with this huge journey from New York into Alaska. The two women both told me, "You can do this!"  Countdown: two days. And then Jonny and I are taking off!
