Winter Soup Round-Up

This year has been a particularly bad winter here in the Midwest. We've had frigid, subzero temperatures, lots and lots of snow, and icy roads in-between the snowstorms. Sigh. For this non-winter-loving girl, it has been a bit rough. I much preferred our last couple winters which have been incredibly mild.

All the bad weather has brought lots of snowed in days where we didn't dare venture out our door. And even though we were warm and cozy inside our little home, I still craved good hearty soups to warm me up from the inside out. So this week I thought I would feature a round-up of winter soup recipes, some mine, some from blogger friends, and some I found while huddled under a blanket and browsing Pinterest.

Winter Soup Round Up

Here are some of my favorite winter soups:

Mashed Potato Soup from Structure in an Unstructured Life

Take It Easy Tortellini Soup from Cozycakes Cottage

Chicken Taco Chili from Skinny Taste

White Chicken Chili from Structure in an Unstructured Life

Easy Chili from Structure in an Unstructured Life

Hearty Italian Basil Sausage Soup from The Slow Roasted Italian

Slow Cooker Tuscan Soup from What's Cooking in the Burbs

Hearty Fall Soup from Structure in an Unstructured Life

On to my menu! Trying to use up some things from the freezer this week, and then stock it back up a little, as well! So glad to have a fairly open week with not much going on. Although I'm thinking of it as the calm before the storm, as I know pretty soon we will have basketball starting up, The Coach is going to get very busy with his new head coaching position, and before we know it, spring will be upon us with baseball schedules and more! (At least I'm hoping spring is here before we know it!) You might notice our lunches are a little lackluster lately. Until we really get a handle on dealing with a puppy and, well, doing anything else at the same time, we're resorting to lunches that can be thrown together quickly in the morning.  I’ll be linking up on I’m an Organizing Junkie if you’re looking for more meal planning ideas!
