Love it! It looks like a speed demon!

I thought it looked just fine with the tiger stripes but Charlie decided that wasn't "cool" enough. Hence the skulls and fire flames decals.

I'm a huge googly eye fan myself. I'll have to show Charlie the link!

Hello there, Beth! Boy, does this bring back memories. My father was a Cub Master for three years and the Pinewood Derby...well...you know...Car looks great. I'm with Denise...LOVE the wiggle eyes that will definitely psyche out the competition. Keep us posted. Fondly, Robin

Robert has decided to volunteer as the Assistant Cub Master which makes me happy. I like the wiggle eyes too.

LOVE IT. Love the wiggle eyes on it!

Do you have a stack of coins to add to it if you need to give it more weight? Do you have graphite powder stuff to help it along the track?

The wiggle eyes were a big debate. First Charlie wanted them, then his friend laughed so he didn't want them. then the Cub Master said wiggle eyes were cool so then Charlie decided he wanted them again.

There are weights inside already. We drilled holes and everything. The weight limit is 5 oz and it's 4.8 right now. I spent last night after the Scout meeting applying graphite powder to the wheels, wheel wells, axles. I polished the axles earlier in the day.

I hope it passes inspection tonight. Otherwise we'll have to make changes and bring it back tomorrow. The race is Friday night.

What's even more fun is being the den leader when the boys do this. It's a good time to teach sportsmanship, but it's also just fun.

I know I'm having fun with it. Almost wish I had made one myself. They do have parent & sibling races too!

Great memories. I think the adults had more fun than the kids.

Ugh...yes, I did. With no power tools, just some saws and sandpaper. LOL
