World Thinking Day & Friday Wrap-Up

  • Today is World Thinking Day. This years themes are, "Together we can save children's lives and Every mother's life and health is precious". Learn more about World Thinking Day here

This is a day that is right up my alley. Not necessarily because of this years theme but that I simply think way too much sometimes. Getting my brain to slow down (stopping would be lethal) is a challenge that I work on, constantly. To me there's a time and a place for intensive thinking. When I need to be creative, when I have a deadline that is coming up. When it's 1 am and I need my brain to gear down, it is not a good time for reflection. Thinking of course can be the catalyst to many great creations such as music, cinema or cures to deadly diseases. Or even putting together awareness days/weeks/months.

Any thoughts on World Thinking Day? :)

  • Not much on the agenda this weekend. Whatever happens, happens. The more I plan my off-time, the less actually gets done. Just my own observations. Spontaneity in my off-time, somewhat, is what I'm going to try. Hard for a control freak like me, but I'll give it a try.
  • I also couldn't not mention my annoyance with the interweb's latest obsession/trend with the "Harlem Shake", over the last few weeks. Sorry folks, but that is NOT the Harlem Shake. It's a dance from the 80's, to any sort of music really, but it is not mimicking seizures. I don't like it & I know I'm not the only one, please stop. Some people will use any excuse to run around half naked and be gawked at. I had to get that off of my chest. And no I can't do the real Harlem Shake. Moving my body in 3 different directions at the same time is not my forte ;)

Have a great weekend!
