Would You Wear These Fashion Trends?

I just saw a list of Fall Fashion Trends, and I've written about trends before, but I  was wondering how many of them are truly wearable for regular women. I mean, I can see plenty of photos of celebrities perched on five inch heeled clogs whilst sporting mongolian lamb fur vests, but that doesn't mean I'm going to try it.

What about you? Do you see yourself in any of the following seasonal fads?

Hot Fashion Trend #1: Silver Sequins.

I was iffy on this at first, but, after scouting around the internet, I think I could wear something silvery, and sequined. I'd thank JCrew for bringing what was strictly an evening look into the daytime. Here's a silvery sequined top from JCrew that's festive and pretty too. I'd wear it.

(FYI, you'll look even prettier if you smile, like Eva!)

Fall Fashion Trend #2: Animal Prints.

I know what you are thinking! Animal prints are so busy! But I think, in small doses, or with the right cut, they're doable!

Look at this great dress from Lane Bryant! Beautiful.

Fall Fashion Trend of Hotness #3: Floral Applique (Fancy words for Flowers!)

Florals are very retro -- and retro is always in! I'm not sure I could walk around with giant roses on my skirt but I've seen this lovely top at American Apparel and have long admired it.

American Apparel

It's covered with swirly fabric roses and is very chic. Believe me, I know.

Trend #4: Formal Shorts and Shirts.

Be careful with this one, ladies. Shorts and heels and shirts are not easy to pull off, but, if you are taller than 5'2" and have legs that go from here to eternity, get thee to Old Navy!

I'm not in favor of all the trends I've read about this month. There are two in particular I think we all should stay away from.

Dresses with revealing cut-outs should only be worn by women with abs of steel and zero back-fat, I'm thinking.

And denim rompers? Rompers MADE of denim? It seems to me that they don't even look good on celebrities.

So, there you are. My list of Fall Trends, as inspired by a magazine and some famous ladies.
Go forth and feel fabulous!

In my opinion, I cannot do animal prints, no matter how cute the article is. As for sequins, I agree with one of the comments that it is too Vegas show girl. I think people can pull off sequins dresses in Vegas, but not anywhere else.

I like the dress shirt and the floral shirt though. The floral shirt reminds me of lacey clothes and I love anything with lace!

Moderation is key to pulling these looks off, particularly if you're on the curvy side. A tank in animal print, sequin or mix of the two under a jacket is suitable for work and will take you through the evening with a change of earrings. I loath florals so that won't be in my closet. Cut outs will work but placement is key for this one. Shorts paired with a dressy shirt has been a fave for a very long time and rompers belong on children. ;0)

I like sequins - I do - must be my performer past. Though.... I look odd in animal prints (and they remind me of my mother in law who OVERDOES it in that area). I do need to branch out.... I'm stuck in a scarf, jeans, UGG rutt for fall and winter - starting to feel a little schlumpy, so... nice to see these looks.

I actually just bought my first silver sequins shirt! I got it on sale at the Loft, and knew that I would have fun wearing it. I have worn it once under a black suit to dress up the classic black suit for the work place! I am also excited to wear it with some black leggings and boyfriend blazer, to take it to the after-dark look!

Sorry... just can't do sequins. Too Vegas showgirl for me!

(Animal prints, on the other hand, are a very guilty pleasure of mine! I'm trying to cut down, though).

I am of the firm belief that a romper - in any form, in any material - is completely out of bounds once you are school-aged. Yup, the minute you are old enough to be sitting on the school bus is the minute you bid adieu to the romper. Hideous.

...no.

Sequins are for the stage. Only. Shorts should not be corduroy unless you're under the age of six. Animal print purses are my limit. And while I might do a floral here and there, it's never in an applique. Eek.

I am a fan of the leopard trend, women shouldn't feel afraid to be bold in their style. As for the sequins, I don't think they will ever go away. Its that glitz and glamor effect that they give off. As for the other trends, they seem doable, but nothing that really stands out to me as Fall trends.

The whole floral thing is the only trend I can't wrap my head around. I keep picturing my great-grandmother's doilies from when I was a kid. It's just a little too much for me!

The sequins, on the other hand... I'm having entirely too much fun with the sequin lately. Love it!

I love the fact that sequins are coming back in season but I was shopping the other day and saw a shirt that had shoulder pads??? I don't know if I can hang with that! Has anyone heard of FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising? I have friends who went there and were able to make a career out of their love for fashion and fashion trends. They told me their programs there are killer and it may be worth checking out if you want to make fashion an lifetime career.

I'd wear the silver sequins and already have a couple of animal print pieces. The other items I'll leave to those less curvy than myself.

but animal prints make me cringe. A well chosen piece with some sequins might go a long way in the holiday season but I would put my foot down before Tina Turner-ish style.

I like your sequined find, but the denim romper is ridonkulous. I really don't want to have to completely disrobe to visit the ladies room! :) I did that back in the early 90s and I'm getting way too old for that stuff! :)

I was in J. Crew this week, and I was shocked at all the sequins. I didn’t get anything… yet. I think a sequined skirt is in my future though….I have to admit, I LOVE Halle’s dress!
