Yes or No, well it depends

When someone asks a question, followed by a Yes or No, I always wonder if I can get away with a 'Well, it depends'. Then I think to myself, why do I even term it 'get away with'!

Nothing in life is either this way or that. Can you say for sure if something is really good or bad!? Does it not depend on how you decide to look at it? For every one person supporting one side of an argument you can find two who don't. So, how can one be asked to take sides?

I am not becoming philosophical here. As a very practical person, I wonder if there can ever be ONE answer that satisfies everyone. The answer to this question however, is an emphatic NO. There are different ways at looking at things, what might be good to one, may not be to the other.
What is good or bad to you depends on
 - where you want to draw lines or
 - what your priority in life is or
 - what your life has led you to believe or
 - on what principles you choose to live or
 - just which side of the mountain you decide to look.

Some people can take sides and say Yes or No, because they probably decide to overlook other's ideas. Some people just can't seem to look at someone else who is different and say 'oh, well, people can think that way too, may be they have a point'. They are the ones I have most trouble with. When I look at them,I wonder - Why can't you for once think, may be I am not the whole and sole and there may be different ways of thinking about the same thing!

Most people seem to have difficulty in accepting someone else's thought if that thought makes them feel that their way of life is being criticized. What if it does, people!? Who says, one way is correct, just because majority of the people do things a certain way?

In free societies if a way of thinking makes living inconvenient, it gets criticized more while ideas that are more liberating in nature, ideas that make people guilt-free get accepted very easily. I am not taking sides, I am just analyzing things here.

World is full of people with so many points of view, who is right and who is wrong? What's the best way to look at things?
