[Editor's Note: Have you had that moment when you realized that everyone around you was pregnant? Multiple announcements on Facebook, two friends email you in the same week and every woman you see in the grocery store is sporting a nine-month-bump. Noelle at Baby in Broad is currently experiencing one of those phases and writes about how it makes her feel. How do you feel when everyone else around you is expecting? -Jenna]
You're Pregnant:
More than ever, I've started talking in ifs. I have to couch everything in uncertainty:
If I get pregnant again, and that pregnancy works out, and the baby survives, then...
It's wildly depressing. And yet, it feels like I'm doing the right thing somehow. Preparing myself for tragedy by imagining the worst case scenario first.
With every pregnancy announcement that I see or hear, doubt closes in around my heart. I want to be encouraged by all of these beautiful, vibrant women and the babies thriving inside them. But instead I go straight to the darkness: Something could go wrong.
