Zombies - Doom Patrol?

On first read, Dead Man Walking: What Do Zombies Mean seems like a smart and interesting look at the world, the economy, and the dread most of us feel when we are forced to thinka bout things like the world and the economy. But the more I read this article and the more I think about it, the more annoyed I am.

Sure this sounds smart...

“Zombies represent America hitting a very low bottom, as we witness the spectacle of consumer capitalism transforming itself into a feudalistic dance of death."

But do you really want awesome zombies to be a symbol of the American despair of 2010? I say NO.

Zombies deserves better than that.
