Meet Rachel and Saskia, the co-creators of Not Your Average Psychic. The duo began as psychologists, but later turned their sights (pun intended) to honoring their psychic gifts and building a brand and business designed to help curious people get better in touch with their own gifts. Ahead, read how Rachel and Saskia chose to make this career leap, how they’ve defined their business, and what they want everyone to understand about their own gifts.
What were some obstacles you faced while transitioning your passion for psychic reading into a business? How did you break these barriers?
The obstacles we faced while transitioning our passion into a business were all internal ones. As psychologists, we were both scared of getting rejected and being ridiculed not just by the mental health care industry but also by our inner circle. We ultimately realized that our psychic abilities play such a big part in our lives, that by not sharing these gifts with the world around us, we would ultimately be denying ourselves.
Once we fully allowed ourselves to be our most authentic self, everything aligned and our business was born.
When did you first become aware of your abilities, and interested in giving psychic readings? When did you know you wanted to transform it into a business?
We both always received information through another portal than our physical senses – sacred information and higher wisdom that nobody could know but felt so important. And then there has also always been the presence of energetic beings wanting to communicate with us.
Neither of us were ever going to do anything with these supernatural abilities, as they scared the living daylights out of us but once both of us started to work in the clinical field, we kept on hearing sacred subtitles to people’s situations which we couldn’t ignore any longer. It became obvious that whatever guidance we received on the physical plane through our education and experience, wasn’t as profound as the guidance we received through spirit.
We never sought out any clients, the ones who were already with us when we were ‘just’ psychologists, organically became our ‘psychic clients’ as well and through word of mouth and social media, that number rapidly increased.
How do you connect with your target audience? What steps do you take to connect with individuals who are searching for psychic readings or who would be interested in learning more about your business?
We mostly connect through our Instagram page and when we feel called, we’ll post some words of wisdom that one of us has channeled that day, or we’ll go live. We frequently host webinars on various topics and are teachers for our Psychic School. As we mentioned before, we don’t actively look for new clients, people usually find us.
Whenever someone has a question regarding a psychic reading or any of the other services we offer, we usually communicate with them through e-mail or DM. We also have a
website, where you can find all of the services we have to offer.
Many think of psychic readings as a very individual experience, what is your approach to hosting your larger events?
The fun part is that nothing is left to chance, everything is divinely scripted. So when a group of people come together, all the topics relate and apply to the whole group. Hosting group readings is magical, because everyone is guaranteed to benefit through the guidance of the higher selves of all the loved ones of all the people in the group. At the end of the day, we truly are all one and that becomes very apparent in these group readings.
Your company name is “Not Your Average Psychic”, what sets you apart from other businesses, and how do you communicate this to potential customers?
We felt the name was fitting because we wanted to highlight our uniqueness. We are both psychologists as well as light workers and that makes for a unique combination. We believe that science and spirituality can co-exist and actually complement one another.
The combination allows for the ultimate guidance since we receive higher wisdom through the spirit realm and with our clinical background, can relay this information to people in a coherent and practical way that can instantly be applied and integrated into their lives which allows for huge transformations.
Why are psychic readings as important? Why should people invest time into these practices?
Psychic readings are important because we have all forgotten that each and everyone of us are so much more than just being human.
Rather, we are all soul beings partially funneled into human form and the more we grasp that, the more liberated, happy and abundant we feel in our day to day lives.
Listening to what your Soul and the Souls of your loved ones are sharing with you from the higher dimensions of consciousness enriches your life in ways you can’t imagine.
That’s why we are so excited about teaching people in our Psychic School to reconnect with their own psychic abilities and apply the wisdom they gather through this reestablished connection in both their personal lives as well as their professional environment.
Do you have anything exciting coming up that our readers should look out for?
So we’re starting new groups in our online Psychic School on October 13. People from all over the world are joining us. It includes 8 group sessions, 2 private sessions with Rachelle and myself and lots of practicing with your buddies/ group members in between the sessions.
