4 Moms Share Parenting Wisdom on Mother’s Day

Welcome to Creative Corner! Here we highlight the incredible publishers, creators, and thought leaders in the SHE Media Collective.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, we asked four parenting bloggers to share how being a blogger has shifted their perspective as moms. They share how being a parenting blogger has helped them connect with a community of moms, gain new ideas and appreciate the uniqueness of each parenting style. Today and always, we are thrilled to highlight and celebrate parenting bloggers who, every day, share their stories and parenting journeys with others.

How has being a parenting blogger shifted your perspective as a mom?
The biggest shift for me has been seeing how similar our day-to-day struggles are as mothers. There have been so many times I post something thinking; “there is no way anyone will relate to this” and then so many moms comment or DM me saying they totally get it and have experienced the exact same thing. It has allowed me to stay sane knowing that my personal experience as a mother is shared by so many others.

How has being a parenting blogger shifted your perspective as a mom?
Being a parenting blogger has allowed me to meet a ton of (really cool) mom friends that not only know what I’m dealing with but also introduce me to new ideas and concepts that I can apply to my family. It’s made me a more well-rounded person and mom!

How has being a parenting blogger shifted your perspective as a mom?
I’ve been a parenting blogger since my 13-year-old daughter was just one-year-old. In that time, I’ve done so much research and product testing for blog posts that I’m truly an expert parent! I am grateful for the opportunity to be exposed to perspectives that are different than mine through the blogging community, and I truly believe that made me a more well-rounded, smarter parent.

How has being a parenting blogger shifted your perspective as a mom?
By sharing our story, I’ve gotten to hear the stories of so many other families in reply. Some of theirs are very similar, while others are vastly different. Being a parenting blogger has shifted my perspective on what I need to teach my children. There is so much information that our children need to know that we were never taught. It has also made me realize just how many different parenting styles there are, and that there is no right or wrong style. Each family and child is unique, and so should their parenting styles! The biggest thing I came to realize is that each and every child should be parented in the style that best suits their needs, and that even includes within one family with siblings.
