Tell us a little about yourself and your blog!
My name is Elizabeth (or Lizzie) and I’m a feminine fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger based in California! I have a background in art, marketing and fashion design. Outside the blog, I love playing music (guitar and piano primarily, although I play anything with strings), traveling and being outdoors.
What is a typical day in the life?
Every day is completely different so it’s hard to say. I usually work on the blog during the day which includes things like planning, editing photos, writing posts, creating content, emails, research, and learning new skills. I teach guitar in the evenings and of course, I have to schedule in some time for myself which usually involves reading, Netflix or an at-home spa day.
What are your go-to places to shop for affordable clothing?
Chicwish is one of my favorites! They always have beautiful designs at an affordable price.
What editing apps do you use for your photos?
For the blog, I solely use Lightroom. For Instagram, I take my edited blog photos and edit additionally in VSCO as well as in the Instagram app itself!

How do you decide which brands to partner with?
My branding is very unique and niche so it’s very important that I choose the right brand partners. I choose brand partners that I believe in, that align with my goals, that are a great fit aesthetically and that I feel would be the most beneficial to my unique community.
What are three staple pieces every woman needs in her closet?
A great tailored coat, a classic structured handbag and a versatile white top (mine usually includes some sort of bow or lace detail!).
How did you find your brand voice?
My brand voice is really just an extension of myself but also something that I’ve developed over time through trial and error.
What is your favorite social platform and why?
I love Instagram because I’m a very visual and creative person. It’s much easier to connect with others on the platform and I love being able to share my colorful, curated world with them!
What is your favorite topic to write about?
Fashion is definitely my passion but I really love sharing real-life experiences and more personal posts with my readers in an effort to create a deeper connection with them. I love being able to not only inspire others through fashion, beauty and travel but to also inspire them with my words through positive, meaningful topics.

What would you do differently if you were starting as an influencer or blogger today?
This sounds cliché but I would believe in myself more. This little shift in my mindset has made all the difference. You have to truly believe that you have a unique voice and something to offer your readers and you have to believe that you can make big things happen.
What 3 things does anyone starting out as a blogger or influencer need to know?
Firstly, I would say that you have to do it for the right reasons. I wouldn’t recommend starting a blog in hopes that you’ll be an overnight success. It takes a long time to see results and it’s definitely a labor of love so you have to love what you’re doing and have a valid reason for doing it.
Secondly, consistency is key. Be consistent in everything – posting schedule, editing, photography, branding, copy, everything! It shows that you’re serious about what you do and it builds trust in your readers over time.
Lastly, don’t give up. Patience, persistence and resilience pay off in the long run. I see a lot of people give up too easily because they get discouraged, impatient or don’t want to hear “no.” This is a necessary part of growing any business and if this is something that you really want, I encourage to stick through it. 🙂
What is the most underrated piece of advice for up and coming bloggers and influencers?
Be yourself. 🙂 It sounds so simple but it’s so so important!
