Meet Our Amazing #BlogHer18 Health Pitchers!

We founded #ThePitch on the initiative to serve, empower, and connect female entrepreneurs.  Since launching the competition series in 2015, we’ve have had a range of incredible women take the stage to present their groundbreaking innovations improving the world around while simultaneously elevating the ratio of women-led businesses.

Last week, we hosted our first Pitch Competition for health innovation entrepreneurs at BlogHer18 Health. Camila Alves McConaughey, co-founder of Yummy Spoonfuls, an organic frozen baby food company, emceed the inspirational event, offering wisdom and positivity to our up-and-comers.

Camila guided the discussion among the amazing panel of judges and pitchers with thoughtful critiques, support, and challenging questions to push these women to reach their utmost potential.

Meet the entrepreneurs who pitched their businesses at BlogHer18 Health:

Julia Bechtolsheimer is a food entrepreneur and the Founder of Unit Nutrition, a science-driven sports nutrition brand that utilizes the concept of Cognitive Fueling to power athletes everywhere.

Bimla Picot is the founder of Reboundwear, an adaptive athletic wear for those who are in the recovery process after a surgical procedure or injury.

Bethany Edwards is an Inventor, Entrepreneur, and Marketer. She co-founded LIA Diagnostics, to expand upon her research and commercialize Lia – the first-ever, flushable and biodegradable pregnancy test.

Although it was a close race, this year’s Pitch Winner was Bethany Edwards of Lia Diagnostics!  Bethany was awarded winner of The Pitch at #BlogHer18  by a combination of the rankings from the judges as well as the popular vote of #BlogHer18 attendees.
