5 Ways To Make Money Online and Leverage Your Skillset

Take a personal skills assessment first.

Nope, you don’t need a fancy program to do it either. Take a piece of paper, make 3 columns—list all your skills in column 1, list the problems they solve in column 2, and how you monetize each skill set in column 3. Add job and/or gig options on Upwork, Fiverr, 99designs, PeoplePerHour, Contently, Dribbble, CrowdSource, Etsy, or Creative Market—leveraging what you do really well.

Develop Paid Courses

Create a class on Udemy, or Teachable, then use Udemy to learn how to market and scale the sale of said course, it’s the literal definition of win-win. You can have anywhere from 4 to 50 modules—more than that if it’s your thing. Above all else. provide value.

Become a Brand Partner or Ambassador

Take time to focus on your niche.

This option admittedly has a little more ramp-up time and requires a strong focus on your purpose or the experience you’d like to convey. For example, maybe you’re chronicling your journey as either a new mom or executive. Or as a creative, or forced homeschool parent learning to teach, parent, and get your work done while making it through this quarantine with our sanity and all children intact. Yes, that was a run-on sentence. That’s just how much energy it takes to make it through some of these moments. Pray for all the new homeschool parents— we are not okay!

Remember, with the ever-changing world now going even more digital, content—especially quality content—will be needed now more than ever.

Create Virtual Learning Experiences

This is a huge opportunity to leverage what you do really well while tapping into your network! No matter what is occurring all around the world, there’s always a need to learn. Creating a virtual learning experience, or even a fun entertainment experience or event allows you and your invited session leaders, to share collective impact and expertise while making money on ticket sales in the process.

Design an Income-Producing Blog

First things first, make it make sense!

Be sure your blog is in the right niche with content that makes sense for your targeted audience. Through said blog, you can run relevant ads using popular affiliate sites like Commission Junction, Rakuten Marketing, ShareASale, ClickBank, the SHE Media Partner Network, and more.

Your blog should also provide invaluable content, listicles, and even industry interviews. With an even deeper focus on providing value, you can up-sale to market your books, digital products, and even consulting services—all from your blog.
