LinkedIn Marketing Labs Just Launched and It’s Free to Use

Online courses proved to be invaluable during a year when physical classrooms were closed. Various platforms kicked into overdrive with tens of thousands of options across an expansive range of topics to serve virtually anyone seeking knowledge. Online courses have been especially helpful to creators and entrepreneurs learning on-the-go as they turn an idea into a business. Now, for those who want to hone in on their marketing skills, LinkedIn Marketing Labs promises to be an excellent resource.
LinkedIn already hosts an online hub called LinkedIn Learning where users can take advantage of free and paid courses that cover everything from thought leadership to personal branding to technical, skill-based instruction (like, say, Microsoft Excel or Instagram). There are also tags used to designate if a course has been updated or if it’s popular. And if you already have a LinkedIn profile, the site will recommend and group course offerings according to interests shared in your profile.
There are a couple of things that set the LinkedIn Marketing Labs apart. First, each course is one hundred percent free. Second, its objective is to help you master LinkedIn advertising specifically. I’d argue that this probably isn’t the first social media platform you look to for online marketing and outreach but perhaps it’s worth looking into. According to a blog post announcing the new platform, advertising on LinkedIn works.
“Lead generation forms on LinkedIn drive 5X more conversions than landing pages and you’re 6X more likely to convert audiences when they see both brand and acquisition messages on LinkedIn.” Unfortunately, they’ve also discovered that most people aren’t aware of all the available tools to truly maximize their experience. That’s why they tasked in-house experts with curating this experience.
“We’ve developed the foundational content in these six courses to be comprehensive enough to cover a range of educational asks coming in from you, our customers, from how to launch your first campaign, to how to develop a powerful content marketing strategy on LinkedIn,” they added.
There are six interactive courses to start, with more to potentially come in the future. They are:
- Introduction to LinkedIn Ads
- Using LinkedIn’s Ad Targeting
- Reporting and Analytics for LinkedIn Ads
- Building a Full-Funnel Content Marketing Strategy on LinkedIn
- Using LinkedIn for Brand Awareness
- Using LinkedIn for Lead Generation
Here’s how you get to them. After going to the LinkedIn Marketing Labs homepage, you’ll be prompted to choose your focus.
Then you’ll be presented with courses that match your answer. You can also check out all of the “learning paths” (aka, classes). Each one is 45 minutes (though you can move at your own pace) and is either marked as “basic” or “intermediate” level.
Each course also starts with a self-assessment so you can have a better understanding of where your LinkedIn knowledge lies. “It’s not only a good way to find out what you know, it also gives you a sneak preview of what you’ll be covering in the course.”
All in all, this seems like an easy and helpful way to dig deeper into all that LinkedIn has to offer. Start using LinkedIn Marketing Labs today if you’re ready.
