How to Manifest Your Dream Career: A Q&A with Wellness Expert Moon Cho

Taking the leap in your career is no easy feat, whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to start your business or seeking a big promotion at work. A lot of the time, fear is the factor holding us back, but when you learn to adjust your thinking and let go of negative emotions, a whole new world of opportunities can open up for you according to Moon Cho, a spiritual wellness expert that specializes in providing holistic living tips to heal the mind, body, soul, who can help you accomplish your goals. We’ve long been told that manifestation is the key to doing this, but it turns out, we’ve been doing it all wrong, as Moon explains.
“The Universe (not you) is the one that makes things happen in your life, so when you’re in your flow, you’re in the flow with the Universe and manifestations occur effortlessly,” says Moon. “There’s a myth that we have to work really hard and take lots of actions for manifestations to occur. Yes, it is true that you have to take action, but you do not have to take nearly as much action when you’re in alignment with the core essence of who you are and therefore in alignment with the Universe.” Below, read more about what Moon had to say on manifestation, conquering your fears, and being more conscious of your thoughts.
When did you start practicing Chinese IChing and how did it come about?
I’ve been working with the modalities of energy for many years. Chinese IChing is based on the energies of the universe that they’ve systematized over 3000 years ago. I’ve been using energy modalities for many years to heal my own health issues and even in my own life, whether it was to make decisions about health issues, business, or personal relationships. I started to just use it on a daily basis and discovered that when I asked questions to help me navigate my own life, I was receiving messages that were so profound. That’s when I decided that I would do this for my audience and use this inner Asian wisdom to help others navigate their lives.
What are the benefits of practicing Chinese IChing? How can it help you in life and your career?
People want answers. They ask, “What’s my future?” But the IChing isn’t really for that. It teaches you how to fish, it doesn’t give you the fish. This means that it [IChing] gives you the wisdom and the inner guidance to be aligned with your inner flow and the truth of who you really are, which is this eternal being of unlimited possibilities. Then, you take those wisdoms and guidance and apply them to your life. Ask yourself, “what behavior can I take now?” “How can I change my beliefs?” “How can I change my behavior based on this wisdom?” As you change your thoughts, your inner beliefs, and behavior, your outer experience, whether it’s in relationships, business, money, even health, will change.
We hear a lot about manifesting your dream job or manifesting your next career move. What exactly is manifestation? How does that work?
As humans, we want physical manifestations, such as the house, money, car, job, or lover, but what we don’t realize is that they all come into fruition because of energy. What people try to mistakenly do is change the physical world (their outer world experiences) by trying to manipulate and control it. It’s like throwing things against the wall, hoping something will stick, but when change for the better does not happen in their lives, they become frustrated and resentful.
The reason why things haven’t changed in their lives is that they didn’t make a change in their inner world, which is really an energy consciousness. Once their inner world changes, then their outer world changes because all manifestations happen based on energetic shifts. Remember, your true power is in your energetic consciousness, which is why your thoughts create your reality because all thoughts and emotions are just energy that will inform all manifestations.
How can we be more conscious of our thoughts and energy in order to get the result we want?
That’s called training and practice. We all have conditioned beliefs, which are absorbed into our subconscious mind from our childhood, society, past lives, or even inherited from our ancestors. To release those beliefs, you’ve got to practice, whether it’s with virtualization techniques to reprogram that subconscious, journaling, or positive mantras, among other tools. If you say a million times each day that you are fabulous, you’re not saying it too much. There are also energy healers that you can work with to help you on the journey to self-healing and release the things that do not serve you.
Fear is often a common emotion people feel when it comes to not being good enough or wanting to take the next step in their career. How can people conquer this fear and take the leap?
Fear is just another energy. It also has its purpose. If you are in danger, you should be fearful so you can save yourself. But what happens is, we hold onto fear in situations where there’s nothing to be fearful of, and we keep holding on to it. That’s when it no longer serves us. The best way to handle fear is to be present with these emotions by observing them as a third eye witness, without judgment. When you do that, it will transform into something else because energy is always shifting and changing.
How can having a healthy mind, body, and soul help you and ask other aspects of life?
The mind, body, and soul are interconnected. As you become aligned with your mind, your soul, and your emotions, the physical part must come into alignment with it. If you want to change your life, you’ve got to change it from the inside to the outside. What some people do is go outside to change instead of making an inner change. It doesn’t work that way. As you keep aligning yourself with your energetic blueprint, because everything is energy, things will start to work out, whether it’s relationships, business, health, money, career because all manifestation is based on this energy.
