Okay, I Need This Notebook Collab On My Work Desk

To me, there aren’t enough ring lights, cameras, and other tech tools that can replace the homegrown, thinking out loud, authentic feel of putting pen to paper. Even after the thousandth edition of the iPhone and to-be-determined social media platform becomes our new obsession, notebooks and writing paper will remain an essential part of the creator’s workstation. So you can imagine my excitement and practically hear my audible gasp after seeing the gorgeous Papier x Gurls Talk limited-edition collection released on International Women’s Day.
In case you didn’t know, Gurls Talk is a community-led non-profit organization that aims to promote the wellbeing and mental health of young women and girls. Started by model and mental health activist Adwoa Aboah, this digital space has become a vital psychoeducation resource in recent years, thanks to its vibrant website filled with info that’s as inspiring as it is helpful, alongside a companion podcast and live events.
This collection of paper products, created in partnership with Papier’s all-women design team, is seamlessly aligned with the Gurls Talk mission.
“In a particularly confusing and unsettling time, the notebook offers a safe place to express thoughts and feelings so that no one has to feel alone or reach a breaking point,” says a press release.
Let’s take a closer look at everything, shall we?

Gurls Talk Limited Edition Notebook
The notebook is available in three different color combos and features the handwritten mantra “Feelings are beautiful” on the front and a note from Adwoa on the front page.
Additionally, “it features prompts and doodles throughout to help with self-reflection & to check in with yourself as well as others. Prompts include: ‘What’s the one song that always lights up you?’ and ‘Write a letter to your younger self. What did you need to hear then?’ The book also includes quotes from inspirational women, from Serena Williams to Sinéad Burke, as well as a helpline section at the back with mental health resources in the UK and US.”

Gurls Talk Notecard Set
The collection also includes a set of customizable notecards for jotting down reminders or encouraging messages.
