Network:
Everywhere you go, everyone you meet – tell them you’re looking for a job and see if they have any advice or even better, know of someone who is hiring! You never know who can help you out.
Also, look for people who have your dream job on LinkedIn. Reach out to them! Ask them how they got there and ask them if their company is hiring! Don’t just look for “open jobs” on a job board.
Sometimes companies will be hiring, but won’t post. And sometimes, just emailing a company telling them how passionate you are about their mission, and explaining what you want to do for them, will be enough for them to hire you.
Believe in yourself, and put yourself out there. You never know who you’ll meet, what you will learn, and where it could lead to!

Do your research:
Interviewing for a job? KNOW YOUR STUFF!
Specifically, if you are interviewing for a PR or entertainment job, do your research about the people they represent and make sure you’re well versed in the world of celebrities and media. This pertains to any industry. Show them that you are an expert in the field of work you are interviewing in.
Follow Up:
My number one interviewing tip! Follow up!
Even if it’s a phone interview, follow up! You never know how busy the interviewer may be, and following up via email, or even better, sending a handwritten card, will ensure you are top of mind and ultimately prove your passion for the job. Be patient but persistent. If you haven’t heard back, email them!
