What is the most underrated piece of advice to up and coming bloggers and influencers?
So many people think it's important to focus on doing something different, which I don’t think is the case. Even though its a heavily saturated industry, the people following you don’t care if you are doing something similar to the next person, its more daily inspiration for them! To me the most important advice I could give is to be authentic. It’s a lot easier said than done, but I find that when I am my most true self and not just posting the glamorous side of things, I get such an incredible response and my followers appreciate that so much more.
What would you do differently if you were starting out as an influencer or blogger today?
I wish I would have started it earlier. I was constantly doubting myself and it took me years to build up the courage to put myself out there.
Tell us about the biggest failure you've had. What did you learn from it?
My biggest failure was partnering with a brand that gave me no creative freedom. The sponsored post was not on brand for me and felt very inauthentic. I received a lot of backlash and lost a lot of followers. After that I told myself I will never partner with a brand that doesn’t trust me to put out the content I know my followers would respond to. This has been something I’ve lived by since.
Who is your biggest female inspiration?
I know this sounds so cliché but I would have to say my sisters. Both of them are so successful and are true pioneers in their industries. I’m constantly in awe of them every day.
Manhattan or Brooklyn & why?
BROOKLYN! I moved here from the East Village and it was the best decision ever. My husband and I have two dogs and live a block away from McCarren park so it’s really an ideal situation. Oh and the restaurants here are insane.

Your #1 tip for beauty content?
Keep it simple. The less products you can get away with using the better. People don’t want to feel that they need to go out and spend so much to achieve beautiful makeup!
Best beauty trend you participated in?
Colored Eyeliner. Always a favorite.
What three beauty products can you not leave home without?
Translucent setting powder for excess oil, cream blush, and Tatcha Gold Spun Lip Balm
