Looking forward to The Pitch? Get to know our Emcee and Judges!

Gail Becker of CAULIPOWER, Jacquelyn De Jesu, Agatha Achindu, Sarika Doshi, Alison Wyatt Koplar, Cate Luzio, and join us for The Pitch at #BlogHer19 Creators Summit.

At BlogHer, our mission to support and promote female founded businesses takes center stage at #BlogHer19 Creators Summit. Each year, we proudly present The Pitch, a competition for female entrepreneurs to bring awareness to their passions and endeavors. Sponsored by CAULIPOWER, on September 19th, three women will pitch their product or service and their business plans to a top-tier panel of judges and the #BlogHer19 Creators Summit attendees.

This year, our lineup of judges does not disappoint! We’re thrilled to welcome our judges, Jacquelyn De Jesu, Agatha Achindu, Sarika Doshi, Alison Wyatt Koplar, and Cate Luzio to the main stage. These judges range in careers from all different fields including technology, media, fashion, lifestyle, design, literature, marketing, ecommerce, and more. They have experience in building a business from the ground up, are leaders at notable companies, have received awards and praises from top outlets, and are working toward more female representation in the workplace and the world.

Did we mention Gail Becker of CAULIPOWER is this year’s emcee? For those who saw Gail at #BlogHer19 Food, you know you’re in for a real (gluten-free) treat! Gail was inspired to create a business to serve her two sons who were diagnosed with celiac disease. After tirelessly seeking celiac-friendly and tasty food options for her boys, Gail took 90 minutes to make a cauliflower pizza crust and CAULIPOWER was born. CAULIPOWER is now the #1 “Better For You” pizza in America and the #8 frozen pizza brand in the country. Did we mention CAULIPOWER has also a female CEO, female COO, and female CFO?

Join us in welcoming these fantastic women to #BlogHer19 Creators Summit! We can’t wait to see what they have in store for our pitchers. We look forward to seeing you in less than two weeks!

Gail Becker is the Founder and CEO of CAULIPOWER and Vegolutionary Foods. Already well known in professional circles, Gail’s career reached the highest levels of media, politics, and business - including executive roles at Warner Bros. and The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. But as a mom of two boys with celiac disease, Gail was not happy with the gluten-free options available to her family. Who wants pizza that’s full of sugar and chemicals, takes 90 minutes to make and doesn’t taste like pizza? Seeing that the food industry offered no nutritious solutions for busy, foodie families to enjoy together, Gail took matters into her own hands and launched CAULIPOWER in early 2017. CAULIPOWER has disrupted one of grocery’s most stagnant categories and is now the #8 best-selling frozen pizza brand in the US. Gail is a passionate advocate for new entrepreneurs, women in business, and making vegetable-forward nutrition accessible and delicious to all.

Jacquelyn De Jesu is the Founder and CEO of DEEJAYZOO, a female focused design and innovation company. Her first product launch, flagship brand, and team's current focus is SHHHOWERCAP, a fashion forward reinvention of the shower cap that has been optimized for both form and function. As an advertising creative Jacquelyn spent over a decade building brands at some of the world’s top agencies (BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Co: Collective, 360i, HUGE). She has lead the creative work on accounts across a range of categories such as YouTube/Google, VICE, Altoids, 5Gum, Orbit, Midol, Cheerios, Miller Lite, Olay, and Clinique. Throughout her career, Jacquelyn has been driven to create disruptive ideas by finding power in simplicity and a beautiful execution. In 2013, she channeled this same passion and set out on a mission to create a shower cap that wouldn't feel like a sacrifice of aesthetics or functionality. After over a year of meticulous development, SHHHOWERCAP was born. In less than two short years, her patented invention has grown into a multimillion dollar company. The unparalleled growth of SHHHOWERCAP has been fueled by the power of thoughtful design in both the brand and the product itself. She has been featured in VOGUE, FastCompany, The New York Times, FORBES, Co: Design, PSFK, Allure, Wired, Nylon, InStyle, ELLE, TheDieLine, Refinery29, and more.
