Use Pinterest’s Holiday Guide to Plan Your E-Commerce Content
Compared to 2020, holiday-related Pinterest searches were 43x greater back in August 2021, as in months before the holiday season actually begins. Safe to say, we’re more than ready to celebrate and as always, Pinterest has creators and casual users alike covered with its 2021 gift guide, which includes takeaways for a spectrum of generations (Baby Boomers, Millennials, Gen-Z, etc.)
There’s a lot of ground to cover between fashion, beauty, and home but some of the standout insights include:
- “Millennials are looking for coziness and comfort with a stylish twist – cozy sweater vest dresses (14x) are trending as well as comfortable silky roomwear (comfy pjs aesthetic 11x).”
- “From eyebrow makeup tutorial (5x) to men’s beard styles (3x), grooming and enhancing their natural looks are trending among Baby Boomers.”
- Eclectic colors splashed in minimalist decor are trending among Gen XÂ (eclectic minimalist decor 5x)Â with eclectic texture of colors of gallery wall and bright cushions, but in a minimalistic room without too many things.
There’s also the “Hack the Holidays” giveaway where people can share their snazziest Pinterest boards for a chance to win a holiday box, curated with gifts from Pinterest merchants. Check out the entire guide here.
Replay Your Clubhouse Chats
“Live But Later.” That’s the best way to describe Clubhouse’s new Replay feature, which is meant to capture  “the magic and energy of a live Clubhouse room, in ways that non-interactive audio streams alone cannot.”
Available to everyone on both iOS and Android, the optional feature, which you can toggle on and off in any public room, preserves the same elements of a live room, along with a handful of other special features meant to enhance the overall experience. They include Pinned Links, the ability to skip speakers, and more. Check out the full announcement here.
Plan Your TikTok Holiday Content
TikTok just rolled out the red carpet for the holiday season with an extensive guide for its creators. The 16-page downloadable document includes stats reconfirming its popularity (of course), as well as insights around gifting. For example, “62% of those likely to shop for this year’s upcoming winter holiday season say they will start planning for gifts 2 months before Christmas.”
If you’re a creator, you’ll be most interested in everything from page 5 on. There is where you’ll find checklists, tips, and more for planning TikTok content three weeks out, two weeks out, and so on and so forth.
