TikTok Launches ‘Lead Generation’ So You Can Turn Followers Into Customers

If generating revenue is part of your social media strategy, TikTok‘s newest feature may pique your interest. Last week, the social platform launched “Lead Generation,” a first-party solution that will enable users to drive conversion through a “few simple taps.” Since it’s already available to business accounts globally, here’s a quick primer to get you started.
In order to reach prospects, businesses can create a customizable form that may be downloaded manually or integrated into a CRM once completed. Basic information already provided to TikTok, such as name and age, can be auto-populated for efficiency. Other fields specific to your products and needs are provided by you.
TikTok is also transparent about data privacy:
“When users submit their information to TikTok, a Privacy Notice will be displayed stating that we are collecting users’ information for advertisers. BothTikTok’s Privacy Policy and the advertiser’s privacy policy will be linked in the form. The personal information collected through Lead Generation that auto-fills will only be accessible by the advertiser. Users can edit their information on the form or click to exit out of the form at any time. This means that our community can be confident that when it comes to their data privacy, it’s always their choice first.”
