Diane Guerrero to Keynote #BlogHer19 Creators Summit

We’re thrilled to announce our closing keynote speaker for #BlogHer19 Creators Summit: Diane Guerrero! You probably recognize her as sharp-tongued Martiza Ramos from Orange is the New Black or Jane’s loyal bestie, Lina, on Jane the Virgin, and Diane is not slowing down this year. The actress, activist and author is currently starring as “Crazy Jane” in DC Comics Doom Patrol and we can’t stop watching.
Beyond her feats onscreen, Diane is also an avid activist for immigration reform. A first generation immigrant, Diane’s immediate family was deported back to Colombia after unsuccessfully pursing citizenship when Diane was just fourteen. Since, Diane has been a strong advocate for commonsense, comprehensive immigration reform. In 2015, Diane was named a White House Ambassador for Citizenship and Naturalization and she has also worked with Immigrant Legal Resource Center and Mi Familia Vota to promote citizenship and voter registration. She has also documented her story in two riveting books, In the Country We Love: My Family Divided in 2016 and My Family Divided in 2018.
Diane Guerrero continues to use her voice to spread awareness and push our nation to a better place and we are thrilled to have her join us on the main stage. Look forward to hearing her inspirational story and make sure to register for your ticket today.
